Malaysian Newspaper Starts Online Subscriptions

Malaysian Newspaper Starts Online Subscriptions (via TEoF): Malaysian online newspaper has started charging for its daily news. The move comes six months after it began a subscription-based model for its features section by charging RM100 a year or RM10 a month; it has so far attracted 1,000 subscribers.
In July last year, it rolled out Analysis Malaysia, a biweekly analysis on current political situation, an update on vernacular press reports and an intelligence service, for a US$1,000 yearly subscription limited to five user seats. It now has 50 subscribers.

But in October (by which time the subscription period for its 50 customers will have ended), it will fold Analysis Malaysia into its premium content service
