BeatGreets Ties Up With MSN

BeatGreets, the music greetings site owned by AmericanGreetings, has tied up with MSN. The site, which offers free musical greetings, has secured exclusive contracts with 31 record labels spanning such genres as pop, R&B and hip hop, classic rock, jazz/New Age.

Unless AmericanGreetings starts thinking seriously about porting its greetings business to mobiles [Update: the company has tied up with the biggest U.S. wireless content player Moviso, under which AT&T’s MMS-enabled servie mMode will have the option of using AG’s greetings], it may be in for a serious redundancy shock in a couple of years, methinks….DA Group, one of the biggest “avatar” technology companies, has launched StereoTypes, a series of animated and customizable greeting characters which can be send using MMS (see the story I did earlier last week)
