India’s Phone Base Crosses 100 Million, Which Is 10% Of India’s Population

The Financial Express: It’s now official. The telecom subscriber base (both fixed and wireless) in India crossed the 100-million mark in April, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), India’s telecom watchdog. During the month, approximately two million subscribers were added, of which around 0.59 million were in the fixed line category and 1.44 million in the mobile segment.
