Microsoft to Launch Phones in France

This is one of those “yeah-we’ll-work-together-great” deals: Microsoft announced on Wednesday an agreement with France Telecom to develop multimedia products and services. Initially the two companies will work together on two projects, one for VoIP and the other a software project that would combine voice, video and data services.
Reuters: Last week, France Telecom said its LivePhone product, which it is developing with Microsoft, would be ready by the fourth quarter of 2005. The LivePhone product uses wireless technology and is connected to the Internet.
