Verizon To Launch Full Track Service Next Month

Not that this is a suprise…Verizon will follow Sprint into the full-track download market and launch its service V Cast Music on Jan. 16 at Circuit City, Verizon Wireless stores and Verizon’s website. It would allow customers to browse, preview, download and play music from a mobile handset and a computer. Verizon expects to offer more than a million songs by spring, the story says.
Details will be announced at CES at a press conference, where Verizon CEO Denny Strigl, and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is expected to attend.
Let’s hope they are sane enought to keep the pricing lower than the $2.50 per song Sprint is charging.
