About the Regional Advertising Sales Director Position
We are looking for a talented and seasoned media sales professional who possesses the drive and industry experience to help lead InfoSpace in the mobile advertising arena.
The Regional Ad Sales Director position will leverage InfoSpace’s existing expertise in mobile search and portal platform development in order to develop and drive a regional advertising sales strategy for these businesses. This position will lead a team focused primarily on generating new ad sales revenue, and then managing relationships with established accounts.
Essential Job Duties:
— Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of InfoSpace’s mobile search advertising business by developing an ad sales strategy for the (West) Sales Region.
— Drive revenue growth by proactively seeking new mobile advertising product and revenue opportunities across accounts.
— Directly involved in the negotiations and sales efforts with many accounts.
— Partner with internal technical and product experts to help determine effective sales strategies that leverage InfoSpace’s technology.
— Oversee the management and operations of established accounts to ensure highest levels level of customer service and satisfaction.
— Establish and maintain significant relationships with and Senior Advertising Agency Executives, direct advertising clients and other media industry contacts.
— Hiring, training and mentoring of Sales Account Executives.
— Assist in opening and co-managing a new SF office with the VP of the Mobile Advertising Business Unit.
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
— Strategic thinker, proven track record of driving significant revenue results in rapidly growing and competitive environment.
— Demonstrated ability to create and execute on a long-term sales strategy.
— 12+ years in media sales, 4+ years of new media sales (online) including 6+ years sales management experience.
— A strong interest and passion for the newly developing mobile advertising media business.
— Ability to understand and explain technical concepts related to InfoSpace’s mobile search products, such as WAP.
— Senior-Level Sales Management experience, proven ability to provide leadership to other high-performing sales professionals
— Recognized industry presence and significant Senior Level contacts in the media industry with the regional area (SF or NY)
— Deep cross-functional knowledge and experience within all sales operations.
— BA/BS required; MBA strongly preferred.
