Turner Extends Partnership With Mobile2Win To Include Content Distribution

Content, including wallpapers, animation, themes, ringtones and games based on Cartoon Network shows will be distributed via the mobile. Mobile2Win has expanded their contract (as per Televisionpoint) with Turner, and will distribute Cartoon Network content by virtue of its association with Hutch, Airtel, BPL and Spice Telecom. The company will also create a WAP site for Cartoon Network. They’re targeting the 10-20 age group, and I’m wondering about how many 10 year olds have mobiles today.
The deal seemed similar to Mobile2Win’s earlier deal with Turner, so I spoke to Rajiv Hiranandani, Country Manager (India), Mobile2Win about what’s new. He says that over the past year, they have been focusing on providing interactivity via SMS for shows on Cartoon Network, Pogo and CNN. Now, as per the new deal, they will create new content, including games, based on Cartoon Network characters and a also make WAP site for distributing that content. More importantly, they now have a distribution agreement for international content for the mobile from Turner.
