Mobile gaming’s Bollywood fixation continues: Mobile2Win has created a Java based game for Saregama India, for the mobie ‘Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii’. It’s a four level game, apparently inspired by scenes from the movie. The game has a contest attached to it, which allows users to win Rs. 50,000 worth of Reebok merchandise or ‘Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii’ CDs. Mobile2Win is distributing the game across Airtel, Hutch, BPL, Idea, Spice, Reliance, BSNL, MTNL, Tata. The release doesn’t mention the price of the game.
Rajiv Hiranandani, Co-Founder and Country Head – Mobile2win India makes an interesting point – he expects the demand for Bollywood branded content to increase with an increase in mobile penetration in smaller cities. I’m just wondering if there’s any change in demand for Bollywood related content in the metros, given that they’ve been subjected to rather similar games since forever.
