SEO Community Site SEOmoz raises $1.25 Million

Seattle-based SEOmoz.org, an SEO blog and community site with 30,000 users, has raised $1.25 million from VC firm Ignition Partners (via Alarm:Clock). In addition to the company’s core blog content, the site recently introduced a paid membership tier, where users can get access to SEO experts, premium information and SEO tools. The site claims that 1,000 users have signed up for the $49.00/month (or $399/year) service, and that it’s looking to expand these numbers. With so much SEO content out there, it could be a challenge for the company to grow this premium business.
