CNNMoney Relaunches Site; Banks on Video, part of Time Inc, has relaunched the site, with a big emphasis on video. The relaunch comes a few days before Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) Finance’s video service is rumored to be launched, and in the midst of a similar video effort by AOL Money. A subtle change in logo, as well as the role of video up-front-and-center are the main changes.
This AJC story says the site will soon go from producing 1-2 original videos each day to 15 or more, and could reach about 35 a day down the line, all on-demand. The site has hired about a dozen new people to produce these videos, the story says. About half of the new video clips, which will be one to three minutes long, will be related to content from the three magazines [Fortune, Money and Fortune Small Business], said Caleb Silver, the site’s new exec producer for video.
The videos will include CEO interviews, company profiles, car and tech reviews, and regular features such as Street Life, a daily video column from Andy Serwer. Anchor Poppy Harlow, who joined this month after leaving rival, will host regular market updates through the day. Release
