25 Who Ditched Infotech for Cleantech
Martin Roscheisen
Background: Founder, CEO eGroups
Current: Founder CEO Nanosolar
Roscheisen was one of the first in the Internet biz and also one of the first execs to switch to cleantech. A serial entrepreneur, he co-founded TradingDynamics, which Ariba bought for $400 million, and eGroups, which Yahoo picked up for more than $400 million. Then in 2002, Roscheisen founded Nanolsar, which is famously aiming to print thin-film solar for $1 a watt. They’re still scaling up, but Nanosolar has started production. Roscheisen shared a number of insights with us here.
