SOLD: Well-tended Fujitsu P1620 looking for a good home

SOLD:  Thanks to all who made an offer.

I have started to do this several times but couldn’t bring myself to do it.  Every day sitting in my office in Mobile Tech Manor I look over and see the Fujitsu P1620 Tablet PC sitting in its dock, staring at me forlornly as I just don’t have time to devote to it.  I am not one to just keep gadgets that I don’t use much and while it is not easy I think its time to find a good home for the P1620.

The Fujitsu P1620 is an 8.9-inch convertible notebook with a touch screen that has all the bells and whistles.  When I ordered it from Fujitsu early this year I configured it with everything they had: 1.2 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB of memory, 100 GB hard drive, fingerprint reader, 6-cell extended battery, 8.9-inch screen (1280×768) and with Vista Business.  Fujitsu has the best palm rejection technology around so the touch-screen is easy to operate by touch yet still offers good inking capability.

I always get accessories to maximize the utility of gadgets I purchase and this was no different.  I ordered a second extended battery (5 – 6 hours), a dock, USB slim optical drive (Fujitsu TRIII), Waterfield Designs SleeveCase and an extra A/C adapter.  Since these accessories are all for the P1620 I would include all of them with the device for the new owner.  The P1620 has been well cared for and is like brand new.  You can see many photos of the device in the review I did of it when I first got it.  I should have all the original packaging, at least around here somewhere.  That would include all DVDs, manuals and the like. I would also restore it to the factory image of course.

If you have an interest in the Fujitsu click on my cartoon head and shoot me an email.  Tell me what you’re willing to part with to get all of this technology and we’ll take it from there.  I’m feeling very sad right now.
