The mobile ad/analytics space continued to heat up today with the news that Flurry and Pinch Media will join forces. The move will allow the companies to compete more effectively with the ever-increasing number of pure-play startups as well as larger players like AdMob, which is being acquired by Google for $750 million. The space is going to be a lot of fun to watch next year as the field continues to consolidate and entrenched Internet players try to elbow their way in.
