Today in Mobile

For the third day in a row (at least), Apple is in the “Today in Mobile” spotlight for the reception problems plaguing the iPhone 4. Consumer Reports — which has a rock-solid reputation — said the onus is on the company, not its customers, to fix the problem. One analyst claims that Apple could be losing $200 million with each passing week, but a Bernstein Research analyst suggested that a full recall would cost the company $1.5 billion. With the public-relations pressure mounting daily — and the costly threat of a recall looming — the folks in Cupertino might be wise to follow Kevin’s suggestion and distribute free cases to every iPhone owner.
