Motricity’s Stock Jumps 30 Percent After Adding International Customer

In advance of its public offering, Motricity’s pitch to investors included the prospect of growing internationally by adding large wireless carriers just as the subscribers start getting a taste of using data on the phone. Today, Motricity came through on that promise by inking an agreement with one of the largest mobile operators in India, according to document filed with the SEC.

The operator is Reliance Communications, which operates in India with more than 100 million subscribers. It will deploy Motricity’s mCore Platform, which is being used today by carriers like AT&T (NYSE: T). The platform often times manages on-deck and off-deck content, as well as, storefronts.
