MSLO Taps Razorfish’s Foristall To Head Digital Programming, Strategy

Less than a month after Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (NYSE: MSO) reorganized and centralized its ad sales structure, the company is making a key addition on its programming side. The lifestyle and entertainment company has hired Missy Foristall as been SVP Digital Programming and Strategy. Although digital was always an essential part of MSLO’s focus, last week’s debut of Martha Stewart Living magazine’s first “digital issue” on the iPad is expected to make interactivity a more integral part of the title’s focus.

Foristall was recently a managing director at Publicis Groupe’s Razorfish. A 12-year veteran of that interactive shop, Foristall’s most recent efforts involved heading up the experience and platforms group.

In her new position, she’ll work with teams across MSLO’s TV, print and broadcast units in general, while closely collaborating with Chief Creative and Editorial Director Gael Towey in particular on digital strategy. Foristall replaces Gail Horwood, who started with Johnson & Johnson to head up their digital and e-commerce strategy, two months ago. She will report to MSLO’s Chief Financial Officer Kelli Turner.
