Industry Moves: Huawei; Appssavvy; ChaCha; MocoSpace

Huawei: The Chinese maker of mobile phones and wireless network equipment has hired John Roese as its new SVP and general manager for Huawei North America R&D. He comes from Nortel, where he had been the CTO. [via BusinessWire]

Appssavvy: The mobile marketing company has named Jack Bamberger as its chief client officer. He joins from Katalyst, a “studio for social media” founded by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg. He’s also held positions at publishers Meredith (NYSE: MDP) and Gruner + Jahr.

MocoSpace: The mobile entertainment company has added Mark Jung to its board of directors. He comes from internet TV company Vudu, where he was the CEO. He had also been the COO of Fox Interactive Media, having joined News Corp (NSDQ: NWS). when it bought games developer IGN, which Jung co-founded.

ChaCha: The question-and-answer mobile service has named Shawn Schwegman as its new CMO. He was previously the CEO of SAS Technology, which advises retailers and manufacturers with their online strategies. [emailed release]
