Google today announced the launch of its second handset — the Samsung Nexus S — as well as the arrival of Android 2.3, dubbed Gingerbread. As Kevin notes over at GigaOM, the device isn’t all that more advanced than the Nexus One, and it won’t be able to take full advantage of T-Mobile’s nifty new HSPA+ network. But Gingerbread looks like a pretty big step forward, and CNET has a good breakdown of just what the new platform has to offer.
