While the excitement over 3-D has waned slightly since CES 2010, there are many in Hollywood who still see significant potential in the technology. Sony in particular was making lots of noise at CES 2011, and as evidenced by this article by Ryan yesterday, many of the big studios like Time Warner see a big market for the technology in the home. A lack of content and the continued question marks many have around consumer interest in 3D in the home make betting on 3D a risky bet, particularly until autostereoscopic 3D technology is well developed given many consumers resistance to wearing glasses.
