GigaOM’s Take DotCloud represents an intriguing mix of IaaS flexibility and control with PaaS convenience. Its service, for which the company raised $10 million in its first funding round, appears to be the prototype for how to lure developers to cloud application platforms. It’s arguably leading a field that already includes VMware and AWS.
