Box has come a long way since the cloud-based content sharing service launched back in 2005. Like many other Software as a Service (SaaS) tools, Box has tended to find favor with individuals and small teams within the enterprise, but TechCrunch is reporting that the company has closed an 18,000 seat deal with Procter & Gamble. According to Box, they’re already used by 6 million individuals across 60,000 companies. That averages out to 100 users per company, higher than I’d expected but far short of P&G’s thousands. There’s no word as to when the rest of P&G’s 127,000 employees will make the move, or any indication that this is planned.
