Come see the future of TV at GigaOM RoadMap

GigaOM RoadMap is all about examining how connectedness changes everything from how we live, work and create and consume content. Over the last several years, there has been a massive shift in the way content is distributed and consumed thanks to the Internet, and three of our speakers are leading the charge in making video available any time and anywhere.

CBS Interactive President Jim Lanzone sits at the intersection of this trend. As the founder of Clicker and former CEO of, Lanzone spent much of his career focused on how content gets discovered in a world of infinite choice. Now he’s in charge of CBS’ broadcast content online through and the CBS Audience Network, leading the network’s strategy for distribution of its content in the new, all-digital world.

Bob Bowman, CEO of, has revolutionized the way we think about watching sports. With the launch of, the league gave its fans access to all out-of-market games for a relatively low subscription fee. That let fans who had moved out of their home market watch almost all of their team’s games throughout the season, and it created a valuable new revenue stream for the league. Since then, has been all about getting its games onto every device possible, whether it be a connected TV, game console, tablet or even a smartphone.

Helping cable operators and networks switch from an analog world to a digital one is no small feat. But at the center of this conversion is thePlatform, which powers TV Everywhere initiatives for a number of the larger cable companies and networks. thePlatform CEO Ian Blaine joins us to talk about how connectivity is changing the way we access video on any number of devices, and to give us a demo of what types of features are available when operators move their services into the cloud.

There are many other luminaries joining us on stage at GigaOM RoadMap. Other speakers at the conference include Jack Dorsey of Twitter and Square, Michael Moritz of Sequoia Capital, Brian Chesky of AirBnB, Tom Conrad of Pandora and Ed Leonard of DreamWorks Animation.
