After a long buildup, the Huffington Post went live this morning with HuffPost Live, a big-money bid to remake TV news for the internet age. Certainly TV news is in desperate need of a makeover, so hats off to the effort. Watching the effort on this first day, however, feels a little bit like watching the very early days of MTV. Was that Martha Quinn? On the other hand, look where MTV is now. I’m sure HuffPost would be thrilled with that kind of success.
