It’s becoming more and more evident that LinkedIn is muscling into the open social network space, and contending with Facebook and Twitter for business users. The newest incursion is that LinkedIn has added Facebook style mentions in updates, and comments.
Note: the screenshot above is from the LinkedIn announcement. The feature is rolling out over the next few weeks to English speakers.
I’ll have more to report once I can actually use the capability, but LinkedIn is definitely pulling the business crowd away.
