Japan’s NTT DoCoMo soups up LTE to 150 Mbps

The U.S. may have been on the bleeding edge of LTE, but other countries are now surpassing it in the technical prowess of their networks. Japan’s NTT DoCoMo is upgrading LTE network to support speeds of 150 Mbps, joining a handful of other operators in Asia and Europe. U.S. networks are maxing out at about 75 Mbps, but that could change soon as U.S. carriers start plowing more spectrum into their LTE systems.
