We’ve discussed a connected wallet on previous shows, where your bank balance might make your wallet heavier or fatter, but in this week’s podcast we discuss how connectivity everywhere might change the way you bank. Online and mobile banking may have made the retail experience a bit more rare (although as long as they pass out lollipops in the lobby I’ll stop by), but Wells Fargo’s Miranda Hill and I talk about what constant connectivity means for consumers.
For example, perhaps you’ll start building a budget in your kitchen while making breakfast or make deposits via voice in your car on your way to work. Hill doesn’t focus on the specific gadgets, but rather how people experience the act of banking across a variety of technologies. We discuss how to convey information across different devices and how that may manifest itself — be it a heavier wallet or a credit card that flashes red when your balance is too high.
