Leak reveals Samsung’s next “smart” flip phone will use super fast CPU

Apparently the Samsung Hennessy and the Galaxy Golden did well enough to warrant a sequel. According to a leak from China’s certification body Tenaa, Samsung is working on yet another dual-screen flip phone, this time with some serious horsepower under the hood.

Referred to as the SM-W2014, the phone will likely get a catchier name before making its way to market. But when it does, it looks like it will feature dual 3.67-inch, 800 x 480 Super AMOLED displays, which works out to a respectable 254 pixels per inch. That relatively low resolution should be no problem for the Qualcomm(s qcom) Snapdragon 800 processor, which we’ve seen recently in high-end phones like the LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

There’s also 2GB of RAM, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. So if you’re in the market for a dual-screen flip phone/smartphone hybrid, this looks like it’ll definitely be the one to get. Like the Hennessy and Golden, however, I wouldn’t expect availability for this phone outside of China.
