You can now buy last year’s Nexus 7 tablet for $99

Whoa. Android Police has stumbled upon a pretty crazy tablet promotion. GameStop(s gme) is now offering the 2012 Nexus 7 with 32GB of memory for just $99. By comparison, the tablet last cost $249 when it was available directly from Google Play.

If you check GameStop’s Nexus 7 inventory, you’ll see that it’s running quite low. The good news is that Staples(s spls) offers a full price match guarantee, so you should be able to walk into your local store, show them the lower price, and walk out with a 32GB Nexus 7 for less than $100.

A quick recap: The Nexus 7 features a 7-inch, 1280 by 800 display and is powered by a quad-core Nvidia(s nvda) Tegra 3 processor. It’s not quite as sharp-looking or powerful as the 1080p 2013 version, but it also costs $170 less.

Better yet, the tablet should be receiving an update to Android 4.4 (KitKat) in the coming weeks, so you’ll be running Google’s brand new mobile OS before many of the other non-Nexus tablets out there.
