HTC Sense 6.0 purportedly revealed in leaked screenshot

There’s already been plenty of talk about HTC’s next flagship smartphone, but not much about the next generation of its Android(s goog) software overlay. Thanks to a purported screenshot of Sense 6.0 from the reliable @evleaks, however, we now have a better idea.

Sense 6.0 leak

As you can see, it looks like HTC is still going strong with the BlinkFeed news aggregator it introduced in Sense 5; judging from this screenshot, that looks to be virtually untouched. What is different, however, is the presence of an onscreen navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. By moving these controls onto the display, it could allow HTC to kill the capacitive buttons and reduce the size of the phone’s bezel.
I also really like that the navigation dock is now transparent. It makes it feel like you’re looking at more screen, without actually needing to make the screen bigger. You can also see evidence of a flatter interface in the battery icon at the top of the screen, which brings a KitKat flavor to the mix.
I’m not the biggest fan of BlinkFeed, but I do like the couple of other changes on display here (and besides, you can always turn BlinkFeed off). Here’s hoping these screens resemble the final product when HTC announces the, er, HTC One 2. Or whatever it’s called.
