Merkle 5th Finger launches responsive technology suite, ResponsiveJS

Merkle 5th Finger launched a more powerful version of its responsive design technology this week. ResponsiveJS is a client-side JavaScript framework that transforms existing desktop websites into responsive sites across mobile and tablet devices, without rebuilding from scratch. The suite now includes features for delivering a faster responsive site more efficiently.
A fast website is paramount to creating the ideal customer experience, and the latest version of the ResponsiveJS Suite achieves this with a responsive image optimizer. With the ability to crop and scale, images are optimized for smartphone and tablet. A single line of code is delivered that displays an optimized image across different screen sizes. Images are lighter, and latency is reduced. Updates to a responsive site are also made easier with a simple development environment for testing and viewing site changes across screen sizes in real time.
Baby product company Munchkin is the latest organization that has utilized the ResponsiveJS technology to successfully build and re-launch its responsive website.
“Although Responsive Design is popular and a high priority for many enterprise companies, rebuilding their site from scratch can be a time consuming and costly exercise. We created a powerful set of technologies that not only offer the fastest path to responsive design, but really deliver the ultimate customer experience through site speed and device optimization,” said Patrick Collins, the SVP of the Customer Experience Group for Merkle.
