Got a Verizon Moto X 2014 edition? Android 5.0 is ready for you

While some Google Nexus devices are still waiting for Android 5.0, Motorola continues to chug along with software upgrades. An over-the-air upgrade for Verizon’s version of the 2014 Moto X is now available, says Android Central, with Lollipop arriving on phones Monday afternoon. I checked a loaner Moto X from Verizon and sure enough, there were more than 600 MBs of Android 5.0 bits ready for a download. Motorola’s custom software is all still there, so I haven’t changed my mind about buying a Moto X over a Nexus 6, although they’re both great handsets.
