A new mobile hotspot from Huawei pushes the limits of current LTE technologies, offering peak speeds of 100 Mbps. The catch is that the hotspot is only available in Japan, because that’s where the only network resides that can support it.
It has been a long time coming, but now subscribers in the U.S. can sign up for a 100 Mbps broadband connection. Comcast, the largest cable (and broadband) company announced Thursday that it’s launching Extreme 105 across its entire footprint, which covers 40 million homes.
Weeks after Australia announced its grand plan to build a $31 billion super broadband network, tiny Estonia says it will spend $374 million to build a broadband network with speeds of 100 Megabits per second. The fiber optic network will be 6,640 kilometers long and be completed by 2015. Estonia is the spiritual home of Internet calling service, Skype.
