YouTube to Stream Alicia Keys Benefit Concert

YouTube (s GOOG) will live stream Alicia Keys’ upcoming performance that benefits the Keep a Child Alive charity, which helps raise funds for children with HIV/AIDS. The show starts at 8 p.m. ET on December 1, and according to an intro taped by Keys (embedded below), it will stream globally.

As we’ve noted before, live streaming concerts is certainly all the rage right now with high-profile acts like U2, Foo Fighters, Weezer and Dave Matthews Band all getting into the act. U2 generated ten million views of its show and Foo Fighters had 440,000 live streams.

Keys isn’t as big as U2, but we like the fact that she’s using her star wattage combined with YouTube’s massive reach to try and raise money for an important cause.

Stream (Most of) the Austin City Live Fest on Hulu

If you couldn’t or didn’t get tickets to the big ole Austin City Limits festival happening this weekend — don’t be too glum. Word from the GigaOM remote office in Austin is that it’s going to rain (big, Texas-style thunderstorms!).

HuluACL

With that kind of forecast, you should stay inside and stay dry. Hulu’s got you covered by streaming pretty much the whole three-day shebang live. We say pretty much because headliners are on a delay (BOO!).

You can catch the whole show at Hulu.com, or alternately, Hulu is also streaming the show through Facebook.

Hulu is really getting into this whole live concert thing. Earlier this summer it streamed one of Dave Matthews Band.

Below is the lineup for the show (all times PDT); streaming starts at 10:30 a.m. PDT and goes till 8:30 p.m. PDT.
