This week saw news of the upcoming Amazon phone which will surely run the company’s forked version of Android. That means it won’t likely work with Android Wear watches, one of which got a price. And the high-performing Galaxy S5 is now available.

As impressed as I was when I first saw the Samsung Gear Fit wearable, I couldn’t understand why the display showed everything in horizontal mode. That’s not ideal for the wrist but it looks like a fix is just one software update away.
Samsung announced costs for the Gear 2 and Gear Fit in Taiwan and it appears the company is trying to hold prices up at the same level as the original Galaxy Gear. That may work for a little while; Android Wear watches are coming.
